ADDRESSING YOUR MILK NEEDS

Milk is a necessity. Not only is it a great source of protein, calcium, and vitamins, but its different forms create an essential part of a healthy, balanced diet for all ages. In addition, the many forms milk may take - including curd, yogurt, sweets, butter, cheese etc - are vital contributors to the quality of our personal, professional, and progressive lives. However, there’s a problem. 

Statistically the entire nation of Bangladesh requires about 14.6 million tons of raw milk every year, while the nation produces a mere 5.3 million tons in comparison. Last year, there was a 6.7 million ton deficiency of milk in the country. This shortage has allowed local milk suppliers to tamper with the natural product, adding harmful additives and liquids to “increase” supply; resulting in unlicensed milk being unsafe and injurious to consume by you and your family. 

Even today, the Bangladesh dairy sector is dominated by the Doodhwala and Ghosh communities. They consist of small intermediaries who collect raw milk from local producers and process that into the products you love to eat. On the other hand, despite the large quantity of cattle, there is a lack of improved cow breeds, shortage of skilled manpower, poor marketing facilities, and low professional interest in quality milk production.
